Miss Lucy Chase
My dear Miss Lucy
I have yours of Feby 7th. also one of the 22nd Inst:
I supposed you had "seceded," and abandoned everything
pertaining to the White persuasion in the way of poverty and ignorance.
Especially s I saw your name reannounced in the "Record"
as of the society's missionaries. Now you have reappeared I will
try and find you when I again visit Norfolk.
If ladies ever wait patiently, you must try and do so, holding
on to your supplies; or not as you think best, for surely you
have the best title to them and the direction of their disposal.
I shall be over in a few days.
Very Respectfully,
Chas. A. Raymond.
